I take my last gulp of coffee with my eyes still looking out at the raindrops drifting on the windows. The rain is not heavy enough for people to be aware of it and put on their raincoats, and, for that reason, many get wet, and cold, and become angry at it. Yet there are still people walking slowly in the rain, who look just so eager. They are either very fond of the rain, or the cold simply means nothing to their happy lives... I am not like any of these people. I don't care if the rain wets me or chills me, nor I care the joy of walking in the rain. I just cannot stand the rain, because it reminds me of you...

Much as I wanna run away from it, I still chose a seat so that I could watch the rain from a distance - just like how much I wanna see you and hear from you every single day... I did not do that intentionally, but still I did it somehow. So now

This might be better for me for the night: block my sight, and seal my heart... Still the rain is out there and I cannot deny its existence due to its distinctive noises on the roof, nor can I stop thinking of you in any second I might have. You like the rain so much, and you are also much like the rain. The rain sometimes makes me shiver in cold without touching me, and so do you. The rain sometimes wakes me up lonely in the middle of the night, and so do you. The rain here in Saigon sometimes is so unpredictable, and so are you... Now that there is no chance for you and me, and that sooner or later we will walk our own paths, there seems to be no option for me at all:

So away you will walk, and behind someone will stay. Just walk ahead without ever looking back, and rest assured that someone out there in the world behind you will still be watching your back, and backing you up in your bad times. Now that "sometimes the only way to keep something is to let it go, even though it is not the best choice...", someone will be happy to stay in that world, though it is turning gray - the sun sets since the day you go away...
