This blog aims at creating a community for our colleagues in a course in MA of TESOL, cohort12, University of Canberra (ACT), teachers who are interested in collaborating and developing his/ her teaching profession, and learners who want to seek advice and find practice materials to improve their English proficiency. Here you can find useful lessons, lesson plans, journals, teaching methods and resources composed or collected through our learning and teaching experience.

My classmate, Cohort12, MA of TESOL, Canberra

As a teacher, you may ask why we must collaborate. First, this is one of the affordable ways for professional development. There are problems that you can never find a solution yourself, and minor weaknesses in your teaching that you are never aware of. Sharing your problems with a community is a great way to find solutions and suggested improvements. Secondly, your modest inventions can help hundreds, or thousands of learners if they are further improved and widely employed by other enthusiastic teachers of English. Just think that every teacher contributes a few ideas, we will end up with hundreds of teaching methods. That should be enough to develop you yourself and this community of teachers and learners. Thirdly, this is a great chance to practice, if not demonstrate, your academic writing. Of course, it does not have to be professional, but you will be proud of yourself when you show this modest blog to your students, you colleagues or your new employer, which is created by you, by me and by other energetic teacher writers.

Whenever you feel like ready to be a writer in this blog, email me.
Yours,

Teehee™

to fix "RECENT COMMENTS" widget
This is not my own code; what I did was to modify the code from Jackbook.com a litle bit to fit my own needs. This is because the original code fails to put the latest comment on the list; the following code together with the script on my googlepages 'seems' to work well. Copy and paste this code into your HTLM widget and have fun:

<!-- RECENT COMMENTS code starts here -->
pre><script src="http://mr.thuanbui.googlepages.com/blogger-widget.js"></script>
<script>
var numposts = 5;
var showpostdate = false;
var showpostsummary = false;
var numchars = 30;
</script>

<script src="http://toteachenglish.blogspot.com/feeds/comments/default?orderby=published&alt=json-in-script&callback=rc"></script>
<!-- END of script -->

use your own images in the flickr section
To start, create your own album on Flickr.com and upload some images.
Now go to page layout and edit HTML. Don't forget to 'expand widget templates'. Search for this string "Flickr Photostrem" (only if you have not changed the title for this section; if you have changed it, think of what you will search, can you?). Go ahead 4 tags, you should see this one:

<div id='flickr'>
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ustazrockez'/ (in Ustaz's case)
(or a lot of <a...> and <img...></a> tags if you have not modified this section since you upload the template)
</div>

Replace the whole block above with this one:

<!-- Flickr image code starts here -->
<div id='flickr'>
<a href='http://www.flickr.com/photos/27805729@N08/2587016707/' title='100_3425'><img alt='100_3425' src='http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3128/2587016707_3b44f4ab5e_m.jpg'/></a>
</div>
<!-- end of code -->

If you save your template and review it in brower, you should see a red rose from my own album. That means you can use your own set of pictures on flickr or somewhere else, too. To do that, go back to Edit HTML, replace the address 'http://www.flickr.com...' with your own address of the big image, and 'http://farm4.static...' with the address for the small image relatively.

Save and view your blog again to see the change. If you are satisfied with the first image, go back and repeat the code between the "<div id='flickr'> " and "</div>" as many times as you want, which will result in new images consequently.

Credit goes back to Jackbook.com. Also, he mentioned about flick bagde on his page for this template, but that badge does not seem to work for my blog. Every time I insert the badge code and save my templage, I will have an error...

to use your own images for author's comments
(Source: http://www.jackbook.com/blogger-templates-gallery/lemon-blogger-template#comments. This is to answer Ustaz's question)

2. Find this code below
<img alt=’Gravatar’ class=’gravatar’ src=’http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/6801/authorgravataryu9.jpg‘/>
yes, change the bolded one with your 64×64px image.
3. Find this code below
<img alt=’Gravatar’ class=’gravatar’ src=’http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/5111/authorgravatarsmallid4.jpg‘/>
change the bolded with your 32×32px image.
4. Find this code below
background: url(”http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6345/authornb8.jpg“) no-repeat left;
change the bolded with your 75×75px image

If you are unable to find one of them, it is likely that you have done that in your previous attempts. It should work now.
