Whether you are a student or a teacher seeking a specific book that you've heard of by any chance, the possibility is that you can find a part of that book (sometimes more than 50% of it) with full details for reference in the Google book website .
I don’t know if Google would like this, but it is, definitely, not a hack. This is just teaching you how to copy the files that Google temporarily saved in your computer before showing it to you through internet browser. Later on, you can just look at the pages with your picture viewers.
Just follow the steps bellow:
1. Open your Internet Explorer (Not Firefox). Make sure that you are the admin of your computer. Then, go to the page in books.google.com that you want to download.
2. Now, go to “C:\Documents and Settings\%your admin name%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\” of your computer. Delete all of the content of that folder.
3. In your Internet Explorer, refresh the page and browse-thru the pages of the books that you want to download.
4. Refresh the “Temporary Internet Files” folder. Copy all PNG files to another folder. You can distinguish PNG Files through its icon.
These files that you have just copied are, actually, the pages of the books that you have just browsed.

Repair/ Reinstall OALD7

You are likely to receive the above license-related error when you commit one or some of the following actions:
- Reinstall the software
- Restore your system
- Use certain software to clearn your system
- Other minor errors force you to repair the software
First you will need to remove the software and clean your system:
- Uninstall OALD7
- Go to 'My Document' and delete the folder 'SecuROM' (Rename it to 'SecuROM.bak' if you want)
- Open 'Services' and stop 'SecuROM User Access Service' (Where? Go to 'Control Panel > Administrative tools > Services)
- Delete this file: C:\Windows\System32\UAService.exe (Rename it to 'UAService.bak.exe' if you want)
- Delete this registry entry: 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SecuROM' (How? Go to 'Start menu > Run', type 'Regedit', then follow the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' path.
- Restart your system
After restarting your system, you should be able to install OALD7 again just like the first time you install it. If you want to run the software with out CD, but a full installation does not help, follow this trick:
- Use the default installation
- Copy the 'data' folder on the CD and overwrite the 'data' folder in the 'program files\Oxford\OALD7'. (If you use a daemon tool's image, use UltraISO or a similar software to extract the folder)

This task is inspired by Elke, my instructor in ALTM unit, Canberra University. During that one week working with the class, she kept reminding us:
Mention it [a learning tool] is not enough. You must tell them how to use it.Also, she found the idea of using Clicktionary as a learning tool practically useful for English learners.
Concerning the context, this task can be used for pre-intermediate learners or higher, who can read and understand the instruction. Starters can also find this task useful, but the teacher will need to provide an L1 instruction instead.

Quicktime errors in OALD7, Pronunciation Power and Britannica 2008

So far I have experienced many problems with Quicktime. I cannot see the point in developing softwares with this buggy plugin. However, they made the softwares anyway, which are very useful, so we have to manage to get around the problems.
If you use only one of the softwares above and you encounter any error, just uninstall the current Quicktime version on your computer and install the one that is bundled with the software. If you use two or more of them, or if you are using iTunes, I would recommend that you update Quicktime to the latest version, then follow these methods to fix them.
Copy plugins folder
OALD7 does not recognize Quicktime 7, and the only solution is to replace the folder 'plugins' in 'OALD7' with the one in 'Quicktime'. Remember to exit any instance of OALD7 before you do so. Both 'OALD7' and 'Quicktime' can be found in 'Program files'. If you still do not know where the folders are, try using 'Search' function in Windows.Download a patch from the software's official website
Britannica itself does not know any Quicktime version apart from the one that comes along with it, which is a little bit too outdated. Google the keyword 'britannica quicktime error', you will find the link to its support website. Follow the instruction to download and patch your software.Turn off Directx acceleration in Quicktime
Pronunciation Power (CD version) and Britannica may pop up an error message and exit itself or become frozen forever when they are not working well with the latest version of Quicktime. I heard that Director related issues can be solved with this method, too. Now what you have to do is to go to Quicktime menu, 'Edit', 'Preferences', 'Quicktime Preferences', 'Advanced' tab, then find the options for 'Video' and select 'Safe mode (GDI only).'

Unable to open your default e-mail folder

In this short journal, I am not going to include every aspect of the error. What you are going to see is how I got the error and how I fixed it. Also, I have included some possible situations that this method can be applied to.
How did this error happened to my computer?
I was using Windows XP, SP3 with MS Office 2003. MS Outlook was still working perfectly with ablity to display calendar on desktop (Outlook on the Desktop), retrieve and send e-mails from Yahoo account (YPOPS!), and synnchronize calendar with Google account (Google calendar Sync). I noticed that Scheduled tasks did not work, which was very important to me, so I decided to repair my OS. The moment the reparation completed, MS Outlook poppep up this annoying message box ("Unable to open your default e-mail folder") and close itself.How I fixed it?
I googled the message and came across a ton of result, but none of the solution can be applied. Most of them, including one from Microsoft, had something to do with MS Exchange Server, which I even had no idea about. I guessed I got to deal with the problem myselft.- Open Control Panel and run 'Email' applet
- Click 'Show Profiles' and remove the current profile (you will lose all your e-mail accounts when you do this)
- Add new profile, use 'Properties', then 'Data files' to restore e-mails and 'Email Accounts' to set up the accounts again.
- Close the little windows, now MS Outlook should be able to work.
I backed up my repaired system and all the emails in Outlook, then started to mess with MS Outlook by uninstall MS Office system, then run a Registry Scan to remove any reference to the keywork 'Outlook'. In addition, I also did an advanced search for the term 'Outlook' on my computer and delete any files or folders that appeared. To my surprise, the same stupid messgage kept popping up when I reinstall MS Office.
It took me a day before I came across the solution. Here is what I did:
This problem can happen to any Windows system or any Office system after a repairing installation. What I did was properly to remove the account setting, so MS Outlook can be revived.
